CSDDD Omnibus Package: Exploring decision-making tools to support policymakers

As trilogue negotiations around the CSDDD Omnibus Package begin, the debate is being strongly shaped by corporate and industry lobbying. Policymakers are increasingly expected to engage transparently and inclusively with stakeholders.

Yet, evidence suggests —from OECD reviews on lobbying transparency to the EU’s own Transparency Register—policy debates are often dominated by a small number of powerful voices. This risks overlooking the diversity of perspectives that make for better, more robust policymaking.

For policymakers, this is more than transparency: it is a decision-making tool. By helping you see beyond the most visible players, Social LobbyMap offers insight into the ecosystem of interests shaping EU policy. Comparable efforts, such as the US OpenSecrets database or the OECD’s lobbying principles, have demonstrated how greater visibility of lobbying can strengthen trust in institutions and support evidence-based reforms.

Join us on the evening of 1st October 2025 to meet and network with likeminded people who are passionate about creating policy that best serves people and planet.

At this event, you will:

  • Gain exclusive insights into our latest findings and better understand how they can influence your work
  • Explore how Social LobbyMap can help drive transparency, accountability and constructive engagement around lobbying
  • Meet peers, civil society representatives, and researchers on how greater transparency can lead to better, fairer policymaking in the EU.

This session will take place from 6.30pm on 1st of October at Norrsken House in Brussels and you can sign up for tickets now.

Light refreshments will be provided.
